Hi there! There's honestly a lot of halls that vary depending on your preferred comfort level and budgets - so there's usually something that suits everyone!

Any of the Talybont buildings for example, are great if you want an ensuite, be near sports facilities, but its a bit more of a walk to campus. I would say as well, the Talybont complex is known as the most social if you like your parties

Alternatively, if you wanted to live somewhere closer such as Senhennydd Court/Hall (which is pretty much right next to the SU!) or Aberconway Hall, you'd be using shared bathrooms with your flatmates, although accomodation would be cheaper.

There are options if you wanted to live close to the amenities of city center, such as Ty Pont Haearn or Adam Street Gardens.

If you are a healthcare student and wanted some place a bit closer to the hospital/your lectures, Cartwright Court and Clodien House are also great options.

So, there's something that suits everyone! I personally lived in Talybont North and Cartwright Court, so happy to answer more specific questions about either of them

Hiya! So the closest university owned accommodation would be Talybont Court, which is a 15 minutes walk away! If you wanted to go with privately-owned halls, there is Cambrian Point, which is a 10 minute walk away

Hiya,

Talybont in general is our largest student residential area so it is busier than some of the others, yes. However Talybont Court is at the North most end of Talybont, so likely will miss some of the noise/parties.
However you personally can get involved in whatever you want, and there are loads of societies that do calmer events and gatherings.

Hope this helps, and any other questions please let me know.

Just to also add to Grace's point - if you don't mind an extra 5 or 6 minutes of walking (so like 20 mins walk to Optometry), Talybont North offers quiet living options, which basically means all other students living in that flat has also agreed to an interest in quiet living.

Cambrian Point is known as a relatively quieter student accomodation as well
