Architecture & Mathematics

I applied to Architecture at Robert Gordon University recently and was offered a conditional spot. The standard entry grades are BBBB, though I am entitled to minimum entry requirements, so for me it would be BBC/BCCC. One of these has to be English (or a written subject including English), one has to be Art, and one has to be either mathematics or a science.

Physics took that spot for me as I never did Higher Maths (I failed Nat5 badly in S4 and I’m currently retaking it in S6, where I’m doing much better, looking at around a B). I got a low C in Physics, so naturally, you can probably tell that I’m not the greatest at maths.

I know maths is a massive part of Architecture, so I’m starting to worry a little bit if I will be set back at all or struggle more than others?

Maths isn't a massive part of architecture. The course is design-focused and the maths element is around or slightly above GCSE level.
