I’ve recently firmed my place at the University of Portsmouth for Primary Education with QTS. In terms of DBS checks, do I need to obtain one before the course starts and if so, when? Thank you!!

You should not need to get a DBS check before your course starts. Your university should guide you through the process when the time comes. They usually send an email with all the details, so do not worry too much about it! If you want to be extra sure, you can reach out to the education office or check the university website for any updates.

))hi - sorry if this is too late!
i had an online interview so i did a presentation on 2 people I'd teach a class about and just shared my screen. the interviewers were super lovely and it was a really laid back experience!! be prepared for them to ask you why you chose what you did
