How to balance this with studying?
No matter what level of education you are studying at, this balance can be rather difficult. However here are some tips I have to make it easier:
- Timetable 📅- Follow a timetable that allows you to be organised with your week. This way, you can work out what time you have for your job and what time you need to make available for studying. Personally, I decide to wake up early and dedicate my mornings to independent study and make sure I have time to dedicate to my hobbies in the late afternoon.
- Plan 📋- To make your study periods more efficient, make sure you create goals for that session. I recommend doing this at the end of your study sessions, ready for your next one. This way, you eliminate time spent figuring out what you will work on that day.
- Efficiency ⌚️- When revising, make sure your working efficiently. To do this, use the right revision method for you. I recommend researching into visual, auditory and kinaesthetic revision methods to identify what is right for you. My favourite revision method is revision card and teaching others.
-Take breaks ⏰- Firstly, I always recommend prioritising studying over work, as often that will be more impactful on your future. Make sure to take shifts that work around your organised schedule and be flexible with your independent study periods. However most importantly take breaks, and don't overload yourself otherwise you may experience burn out.
Overall, the healthiest balance between work and studying always includes breaks for your own hobbies. The best way to maintain this balance is to remain organised and create small, achievable goals for each study session.
I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions,
