Linking to other queer themes in eng lit gcse

Hi, this is a pretty strange post (this is just out of genuine curiosity) but a friend and I were joking about Macbeth secretly being a transgender man driving him to try and prove his masculinity by killing Duncan, and now I wonder if it’s even possible to write about something like that as an alternative interpretation in your actual GCSE? What would you even say? “A genderqueer audience may interpret this to be...”? I know about homosexuality within J&H is a valid and recognised interpretation but I wonder if writing about transgender people specifically could work if I did understand their viewpoint..? Or does this not work as well as homosexuality will because being transgender can be considered a bit more broad?

Honestly, It is a valid perspective of Macbeth but honestly i would say Lady macbeth would be more transgender as she "subverts her hedgemonic gender roles within the play" it's still a valid point though as macbeth does similar as he tries To prove his masculinity, But that means he acknowledges that he is masculine, so he's just trying to reinstate the fact he is masculine and Not really trying to avoid portraying as a feminine character. Hope this helps !!!
