Best uni for children nursing in London

Hey everyone , I just wanted to find everyone opinion on what they think is the best uni for children nursing.

When I checked the rankings for the subject. It says Kingston currently the top in London for the subject. Interested in hearing from current students who study children nursing in London and why they choose their particular uni over others. What they like about it and what they don’t like as well , if possible.

Rankings are meaningless for healthcare courses. All courses are held to the same standard by the NMC and the NHS will not care where you studied when the time comes to apply for jobs. You need to look at which uni suits you best in terms of where you would like to live, the department, and the timing and location of placements.

Hi @risasakura

As a first year student at Kingston, I am happy to tell you about the university and the town, which have been a huge part in my decision-making. Although I don't study Children's Nursing here at Kingston, I do study Social Work on the same campus, and can say that the facilities for nursing courses are great, especially the simulation and skills lab, in which students take part in simulated experiences and role play, in preparation for placements. I can tell from experience that Kingston offers a huge amount of support for all of its students. The town is beautiful, right along the riverside, only a 30-minute train ride from central London!

I've attached a few links directing you to the Children's Nursing course page, as well as open days and webinars:

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, please let me know!
