Hi there,

I'd recommend searching for these universities on UniBuddy or through their websites, and using the 'Chat to a Student' feature. This can be super helpful for asking a current student specific questions about their experiences studying there, and would likely be very insightful for you.

As an example, I've linked the page for Bournemouth University here.

I hope this helps,

Hi @Jhgk07,

It's great to hear you are thinking about your university journey.
I'm Q, a 4th Year Media Production student at Bournemouth University (BU).

Bournemouth is a great university if you want something that is a mix of fast paced, but also calm and quiet. If you want to get stuck in, there a lots of Clubs & Societies through the university, as well as things to do in the local area such as the cinema, crazy golf and more. If you'd prefer something more quiet, there are various university groups and societies that you can attend such as Faith & Reflection.

As a student at BU, there are tonnes of places on campus to work in groups and independently, as well as many food outlets in the various buildings across campus. As a Law student, you would be based at the Talbot Campus, and whilst some people like the smaller campus that you can easily walk across in less than 5 minutes, it isn't the feel that some people want, so it is really up to what you prefer.

I'd recommend coming to Bournemouth for one of our open days, and you can find them listed on this page here: Open Days.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any more questions.

🎉 Congratulations on your offer to study at the University of Essex! Check your emails for your invite to an Offer Holder Day where you can tour our campus and accommodation, chat to current students and academic staff within your department, and meet your future classmates. 📨🤝

You can see the facilities and opportunities available as a Law student: working at the Essex Law Clinic offering pro bono legal advice to the local community, or the Human Rights Centre Clinic projects with Amnesty International and the United Nations, and others. 💼⚖️

The University of Essex is just outside of Colchester, less than one hour away from London on the train (with three stations near to campus). Our Students' Union is amazing (top 10 in the UK), with over 165 societies to join, a library (open 24/7), gym and sports centre (free if you live on campus), cinema, two bars and a nightclub on campus. Students are supported by the Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity Service and we are now ranked 29th in the British Universities and Colleges Sport table. 🌟

You can chat to current students on Unibuddy to find out more! 📱

I hope this helps, please let us know if you have any more questions 😊

Hi there, and well done on receiving offers from some great universities!

I’m based at UEA and happy to share what makes the Law School here a really solid choice. The law course at UEA is ranked highly in the UK and combines strong academic teaching with lots of opportunities to gain hands-on experience. For example, students can take part in mooting competitions, client interviewing, and UEA’s Law Clinic, which has won national awards for its work.

The curriculum covers all the core areas you’d expect from a qualifying law degree, but there’s also room to explore your interests through optional modules in areas like commercial or human rights law. One thing that stands out is how supportive the staff are, both academically and personally. Norwich is a welcoming, student-friendly city, and it’s easy to settle in. The campus is all in one place, surrounded by green space, and the cost of living here is lower than in many other cities, especially in the South.

If you’re deciding between your options and have more questions about UEA or student life in Norwich, I’d be happy to help.

Good luck with your decision, and feel free to get in touch if anything comes to mind.
