Access course in Medicine

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in pursuing a career in medicine. I have completed my GCSE and English qualifications, and I'm planning to enroll in an Access course for medicine. Does anyone know of any colleges that offer this course? Also, does anyone have experience with universities accepting the Access qualification for entry into their medicine programs?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello, It's not an Access course but Hull-York Medical School does Medicine with a Gateway Year in case you're interested.

All the best,

E.

Hi there, what part of the country are you in? There are now quite a few colleges that offer the course, the most established include: College of West Anglia, East Sussex College, City of Bristol College, The Manchester College.

Where you do your Access course matters. Medical schools can be fussy about where they accept Access courses from. As a bare minimum, the course needs to be "QAA-approved". What I would recommend is finding the Access course(s) that suit you, emailing the course details to medical schools and finding out from them whether the course meets their entry requirements
