Uni of Liverpool Private Accommodation

i wanna go for private accom but i need some reccs cus ive not been able to visit liverpool so i have no idea what the place looks like or what im looking out for! also some websites to look for accommodation? ive been using Amber Student for now to browse but are they legit and safe???
Thank youu
I'm not sure if Amber Student is safe but I've found that a lot of the time when it's claimed there's availability, I've checked the website of the company that owns the accommodation (e.g. Googled 'Agnes Jones House Liverpool', which is owned by Gather Students), there hasn't been availability.

So it's better, in my humble opinion, to just use Amber Students to get ideas of what accommodation is in Liverpool, then Google the name of the accommodation (plus the word 'Liverpool') then contact the company (e.g. Homes for Students, Campus Living Villages, etc.) directly via their official website. Some of the stuff listed on Amber Students doesn't even exist any more. For example, if Amber Students shows Albert Court, Google search 'Albert Court Liverpool' then go to the official Campus Living Villages website for Albert Court.

I just typed 'amber students reviews' into Google and whilst they supposedly have a reasonable TrustPilot rating (though the good reviews could be fake), there's a lot of people complaining (e.g. on Reddit, etc.) that they're a scam outfit that takes money for things that should be free.

For what it's worth, when I was looking for private accommodation (I drive so I needed a place with parking), Albert Court seemed good - mostly LJMU students, friendly staff, and one guy who was happy enough that he was staying there for another academic year. The area is a bit sad though - not sure exactly what it is about it; just seems grim. It's near London Road if you want to have a look on Google's Street Map. But it's only about 12 minutes' walk from LJMU, only a bit further to University of Liverpool, and only about 10 minutes from the Creative Campus of Liverpool Hope University (not to be confused with the main campus, which isn't anywhere near the city centre).

Agnes Jones House is probably better for University of Liverpool (if you're studying at the South Campus, anyway) but reviews claim it's haunted

Cloud Student Homes is terrible, but especially their accommodation on Greek Street. It's an absolute dive, junkies sneak in the the bin area at the back, the so-called communal room is only opened on request and is in the basement so hardly anyone uses it, and I had to take legal action against the company to stop them violating my rights. Thankfully they stopped before it went to court but I wasted money on security devices because of them and they still tried to keep my deposit for no good reason.
