Dsa taxi

So I spoke to welfare today as it was my first day , I am eligible for dsa I applied and got the email just waiting for my assessment. The welfare lady said I could possibly get taxis as I suffer with anxiety. I’ve got taxis today and will have to do the same tomorrow , if I get accepted and they agree to pay for the taxis will I get the money backdated that I’ve spent already ? As abit worried as it’s going to be costing £60 a day 2 days a week

You may be able to get some taxi journeys but highly unlikely to cover all of the journeys you take. You’ll need to communicate to your needs assessor how your anxiety prevents you from travelling by public transport.

It is possible for some journeys you’ve taken before your needs assessment to be reimbursed retrospectively, so do keep receipts
