Did anyone else manage to get into uni with just a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship?

Did anyone else manage to get into uni with just a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship?

I’ve heard they’re now accepting people with apprenticeship certificates, so I’m hoping I had a shot.

I got a 9648-73 City & Guilds Level 3 Infrastructure Technician and I even got merit for it. I did 18 months of it, but it got delayed because of Covid, and I’m not sure if that counts for more UCAS points.

I chose some cybersecurity courses with a foundation year which is something I know very well due to work and a few esports management courses.

I just turned 24 and I feel like I’ve lost my way. I think uni can help me get back on track. Let me know if any of you sent off your applications with just an apprenticeship!

Good morning,

I have offers with a professional qualification that I obtained 30 years ago. My understanding is that universities give a certain amount of weighting to mature students, which is what they would class you as. If you apply just make sure you have a strong personal statement I also rang the admission Dept and discussed it with them. Bear in mind you have life. and experience skills to offer. My view is give it a shot anyway, or check what other qualifications you could acquire in order to strengthen your case for an application next year. It's never too late to go to university

have you thought about the Open University ?

ps. there are plenty of examples of personal statements on line, just don't copy them . Good luck

I’m thrilled to share that I received an unconditional offer! I’ll be accepting it soon, but I’m also waiting for the other three offers I received. I’m so happy!
