Primary research EPQ help

How would I go about finding academics to interview? How would I interview them online? Should I call them, or send them a list of questions? Should I first send them an email asking if I can interview them and then send the questions or should I just send the questions and hope they respond. Should I do it in a form? I have so many questions, if someone could walk me through the process or give me general pointers that'd be a great help.
