Internship

Hey all so I got an email from a company called stratify and they rejected me for an investment analyst job that I applied for.
But then they asked me whether I'd be interested in doing a global finance internship. It's for 3 months working from home. I might get a job at the end of it. But it costs £399 for it. Has anyone here done it before and can tell me what it's like?? Or is it a scam??

Hey,

I got this exact same thing except they had changed their name to Cedarstone Global Limited. Someone got in contact with me via Whatsapp after they tried to ring me. Once we got in contact he said that I was a perfect candidate except for the financial skills and that this 3 month programme would help guarantee me an interview. They sent me over this document that detailed I had to deposit £80 into a brokage account which made me have a bad feeling. Overall I kept feeling that something was off and after doing some digging came across this and a reddit saying it's a big scam.

I just had this exact same call from cedarstone and yes they are a scam glamorised to look like a real internship course. They tried to say a company had contacted them who i had applied for on total jobs and it was a red flag because i don't use total jobs.

Scam, scam, scammedy scam!

There is a company called Cedarstone Capital Partners Limited, a small property asset management company, which appears to be legit.

Cedarstone Global Limited, formerly Stratify Global Limited, appears to be an unrelated company of no substance.

Look at this: as scammy as a scammy thing.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take any concerns about our process seriously and would like to clarify how our outreach works. We only contact candidates who have applied directly or through partnered recruitment platforms.

It’s worth noting that Totaljobs adverts are also distributed through their partner network aswell, meaning a vacancy we post on Totaljobs may automatically appear on LinkedIn and other partner sites. This can sometimes lead to applications being routed through a platform you don’t recall using directly. You can see the list of partner sites here: https://www.totaljobs.com/about/partners/

If you can provide the time of the call and the number used, we can investigate further and confirm the exact source of your application to ensure the information you received was accurate and in line with our standard process.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate it when people take the time to review information critically. Cedarstone Global Limited is an established talent development firm and is not connected to Cedarstone Capital Partners Limited. Our programmes are designed in collaboration with recognised financial companies and focus on providing practical skills, a verified portfolio, and career support.
If there are particular aspects of the application or programme that you’d like us to clarify, such as how the internship works, the data you’ll work with, or the outcomes we aim to deliver we’d be happy to provide full details so you can make an informed assessment.

I don't even know what to believe now,I've searched through the net,i was surprised it could probably be a scam
