i’ve read on the practioners slc website and the uk parliament website that the three year ordinarily resident rule does not apply to those granted ILR as a victim of domestic abuse and their children. is this correct?

Thanks

Hi there. Yes, there is no requirement for those granted domestic violence ILR to have been ordinarily resident in the UK or Islands for three years before the start of their course.

New students who have been granted Domestic Violence ILR are eligible to apply for full SFE support if they are ordinarily resident in England on the first day of the first term of their course. Thanks, Leah.
