Hi,
I hope you are well! 😊

Just so I can help you the best I can, by live classes do you mean lectures and similar talks at university? Or at a different educational level or in a non-university setting?

Best wishes,

Hi @shiv911
In lectures, it is common for the lecturer to ask questions to the room throughout the lecture which you can answer. However, usually if you have a question about the lecture most people will wait till after the lecture has finished and speak to their lecturer as they are leaving or send them a follow up email later.
In seminars, these are a lot more discussion focused so are more interactive and usually involve a small group of student and a seminar leader talking through or debating a certain topic.
Hope this helps!

Hi there!

As has been said, if your lecturer is giving you a lesson/lecture via Teams or Zoom rather than in-person, you can usually interact with them.

Some lecturers actively encourage people to unmute themselves or raise virtual hands during the lectures, whereas some prefer to save questions til the end, it will depend on that individual. However the during the COVID pandemic here at Bath my psychology lecturers did a fantastic job of making online lectures interactive, with Q and As and mentimeters/quiz questions throughout.

Hoping this helps!

Hi

I hope you are doing well.

Lecturers can answer questions within sessions that students might have. This allows sessions to be as interactive as possible.

I hope this helps,

Hey @shiv911

As has been said, it is common for lecturers to interact with students during online classes/lectures. They can do this by asking questions, putting polls, quizzes, inviting and answering questions. However, different lecturers have different ways of interacting with the class and they will usually clarify how they will do this. While some prefer students unmuting themselves to ask questions or make suggestions during the lecture itself, others might use the chat box or invite questions from the students at the end!

I hope this helps!

Thank you,
