Hello,
Yes, I am in my first year, and Student Finance paid the first part of my tuition in October. However, my circumstances have changed now, and I want to cancel the rest of the payment and pay the rest of my tuition myself.

Hi there,

Yes, you can cancel the Tuition Fee Loan. Can you confirm if you're receiving finance as EU student or Home student?

Thanks,
Claire

Thanks for your response.
I am receiving finance as a home student.
Also, will I have to pay back the whole amount or only what was paid?

If you haven't withdrawn from the course you won't need to repay the loan till you're in repayment.

You can change the Tuition Fees online in your account. If you click on view/manage your application, change your application and Tuition Fee Loan. If it doesn't let you do this online, it will give you the option to complete the Tuition Fee Loan Request Form to complete and upload under the evidence upload option. This link shows you how here https://youtu.be/rOMx_EG5JWk

On the Tuition Fee Loan Request Form, you would need to enter the amount we have already paid. This is so we know you don't wan't any further payment for Tuition Fees. Once received, this is currently taking 10 working days to update.

Thanks,
Claire
