Not yet, no but their last email mentioned applicants will hear back in mid-February. I guess we will hear any day now then. Do they tell you only if you’ve been successful for an interview?

I recieved an interview invitation two days ago. I'm also wondering what the percentage of offers for interviews is.

Yeah, seems that way. Around 75%. I would have thought it would be different for postgrad.

I didn’t find statistics online for postgrad. Honestly with the portfolio and research I assume it’s lower. Have u heard from anyone outside of this forum?

I asked someone who did a postgrad at Cambridge, and they mentioned interview offers for postgrad is significantly lower, although there isn’t a set number/statistics.

I’m unsure about this but I can’t imagine they would interview every applicant-I may be wrong.
I’m preparing by looking over my personal statement and writing example, plus thinking about generic questions about my writing process and ambitions etc.

I've had my interview! It was pretty informal, no academic questions per se, just a general chat about my writing interests and inspirations. I would definitely suggest deciding on a couple of questions to ask them, as they leave a good chunk of time at the end to answer your questions. They're very friendly and not too intimidating.

I had mine also. Was a little bit intense with questions about being able to study cross-genres and how I could bring something different to Cambridge- let me know if you get in 🤩They told me they will send results out by the end of March.

I had mine as well! I was nervous beforehand, but it ultimately felt conversational and relaxed. We covered my previous publication/work experience, writing sample, and research proposal which took most of the 30 minutes, but I did have a few minutes left to ask them questions too.

This sounds great! Good job everybody-probably a relief to have that behind you! Did they ask about cross genre reading? Did you have to give examples and that kind of thing or was the proposal/ sample more of the focus?

Were any of the questions surprising or difficult?

I gave examples of how the genre I specialise in may help me when I’m studying new ones I’m not so familiar with. They didn’t ask me anything about my proposal but during my questions to them, one of the tutors said they were fascinated by how I would work through what I had proposed in the second year and it was something they found interesting.
It was a casual chat but with some challenging on the spot questions to.

The fact the tutor said that sounds like such a good sign! Were the on the spot questions about your writing sample?
