I think they have to respond by March 21st, and looking at previous years' timelines they tend to give out offers in the 5th-15th of March period, so in a couple weeks time.

thank you, Eric. I can’t wait!

Btw, is your upload more documents button still there? Supposedly if it goes away it mean’s a decision is on the way.

Yes, it has been gone for a while now. However, in the bigger thread, applicants to the DPIR in general still have it. Wbu?

I still have it too, but to be honest, I think the fact that yours is gone is probably a good sign, as I would imagine they would probably upload offers (which are much fewer so take less time to update the system on) than rejections. So I’m not too hopeful on my end, but either way, I’ve thankfully got other offers to consider if I’m rejected from Oxford. Good luck

Also, if you don’t mind me asking, did your upload button disappear days ago or on Friday/Thursday?

I'm not sure it's a good sign. It disappeared maybe 10 ago, it's been a while.

I even expected results to come out this week, as i was pretty sure that they are ready by now... Honestly, I'm scared now. 😀

Are you sure you’re talking about the upload more documents button that shows up once you click on ‘supporting documents’? I thought if the button disappears it means a decision will be given in 2-3 days, but given your experience it seems its not always that way. I don’t think we can really deduce if its good or bad, I’ve heard arguments on both sides. All it means is they have made a decision on your application, but haven’t released it to you yet. Either way, I’m hoping we start to hear back this week or the next.

Another thing is, if you right click on ‘source code’ people on the main thread say that if it has ‘DOCS: 4’ then its sign of an offer coming( as oppose to DOCS:3, which is the standard code that is there), but again, no one really knows. Good luck either way

yes, i am sure.i have docs 3 and before the other line disappeared i had 0s on everything.
I think they send offers to everyone on the same day, don't they? at least when it comes to the same major.

Yes, I do think thats the case. Also, it maybe a matter of when you applied. I for instance applied just before the deadline, so it would make sense for them to take a while before they made a decision. But in any case, I’m not too worried about Oxford because even if they were to give me an offer, I’d likely have to turn it down due to the fees (given that its a two year course which costs 23K a year, so around 45K total). I’m sure its viable for some people, but the cost seems a little too high for me when compared to other unis I could go to like LSE or Kings.

Honestly, same. I got an offer from St Andrews, which might not be as prestigious as Oxford, but it offers great courses and looks stunning.

Upload button just disappeared, expecting a rejection fairly soon since my documents never turned to '4' unfortunately. Best of luck to you, maybe the fact that your button disappeared much sooner than me might be a sign that an offer is on the way.

Hi Eric, I wouldn't worry too much about the button theory! The only thing that matters in the end is the email we get from the department with a rejection or hopefully an offer. I'm also very nervous, but for now we can only just wait patiently
