It’s not impossible but you’ll need a good portfolio of design work ideally including a range of work addressing different design briefs and showing how you develop your ideas into a final project

Most students on graphic design degree courses didn't study it at A Level, so it's no problem at all. But you do need to have graphic design in your portfolio.

Hi there!

I'm Charlotte,a year 2 Graphic Design student at Norwich Uni Arts. Personally, I hadn't done graphic design at A-level either - my portfolio had A-level photography and product design work in it but no graphics. I therefore opted for the 'Year 0' option here - an integrated foundation year to help start you off before actually going into Year 1. Whilst that means I'm at uni for 4 years, it did mean that I was able to learn the skills needed, make friends and get a feel for the campus and know my way around and know the staff etc, giving me a slight advantage when I did enter year 1 and know what I was doing.

Hope this helps
