Ocr cs gcse

Hi, I found that programming is my weakest and I am not to sure how to improve. I don't know whether to focus on python, pseudocode, OCR reference language. What is the best thing to do?

Hello, if you are considering doing the OCR A-Level, I would highly suggest that you focus on the OCR reference language (pseudocode) as it is the same as GCSE but with new things added to it, however, if you are only doing the GCSE, whatever feels easier for you, in GCSE, I felt that Python was easier so I just stuck to Python; but then I realised that I needed to understand pseudocode for the A-Level.

Do some past papers and have a look at where you lose marks. I would say focus on python or what your school teaches because you can only write in python or ocr ref language in section B, and you can also write in python for section A instead of psuedocode. However, you can't use pseuedocode in section B. That said, dont worry that much abgt psuedocode as psuedocode is easy as its just a mix of code and english - you js need to be consistent.

Thank you, I wanted to stick to python but some questions require you to use OCR reference language which is why I was confused

Rlly? As a cs student ive never seen that before. I'm pretty sure they give you a choice, either ocr ref or high level. However, itd prob be good learning or at least understanding ocr ref as they use ocr ref when asking abt insertion sorts and or other sorts.

Can you send a question where this is the case please? It should be a question where you have to write OCR reference language, and not interpret it
