How much Math do I need for my Real Estate BSc Honours degree?

What I mean by this is, how good do I need to be at Math in order to excel in this degree?

For reference I am taking Real Estate BSc Honours at the University of Westminster. OR BSc Hons Real Estate Management with Professional Placement.

I am a bit worried that I may need allot of heavy math for this course and I might get overwhelmed. I am not the type who Is good at math, and I never really got along with it. I am worried that I may experince allot of math within this course to the point where I wont like it. Dont get me wrong I am extremely interested within this feild, however I do not want to be at a place where math is holding me back from suceeding within this course.

Any help, or anyone who has knowledge within this feild that could help me, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi there!

If you're very worried then I would definitely recommend you getting in touch with the Uni of Westminster course enquiries team (or a similar team like admissions). They will be able to tell you how much maths is involved in the course.

I am making an assumption here, so it is worth checking this - maths is not a required A-level for this course and the GCSE maths requirement is only a C/4 - to me this would mean that if there is any maths involved the course then it will be taught from scratch, to get everybody up to speed. If a certain level of maths is needed for the course, then that would be reflected in the entry requirements!

Hope this helps!

Hi,

I would definitely recommend contacting the University of Westminster to gauge the extent of maths that will be included. I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in real estate, and although it's at a different university, I believe the content will be quite similar. From my experience, all the math and Excel skills were taught from scratch. You shouldn't worry too much—just attend the lectures, ask for help when needed, and apply what you've learned.

Hopefully this is of help.
