Please help me in (Subjects choices for economic degree in A level)

So, I've just started A level today as I chose Math, Economic and Accounting. But as I see on You tube and some study researches, I found that further math is needed in order to meet requirements for top universities. I have plan to study in top universities after undergraduate. So should I just continue with my chosen subjects or take further math instead. Some say we have to take both math and further math? What is the disadvantage of taking further math only? What other fill in might help me to meet with most universities 's requirements, so that I can prepare along with good grades in A level. Pease advise me some. What others should I know about economic degree since I am still researching about my degree.

Start by looking at that 'entry requirements' for the sort of Economics degree you want to do -what A level subjects are essential or preferred, are there any specific GCSE grades required. There are plenty of courses that do not require FM. Look at a range of different Unis and courses :
Economics BSc - University of Birmingham - A*AA or AAA (including Maths) with GCSE: Mathematics 7 (if not taking A level Maths), and English 4.
Economics BSc (Hons) - 2025/26 entry - Courses - University of Liverpool - AAB including A in Maths, plus GCSE Mathematics at grade 5/C and GCSE English at grade 4/C
Economics, undergraduate courses : University of Sussex - ABB with GCSE Maths at grade 6.

And, be aware that Accounting is an A level subject that a) some Unis will not accept or 'prefer' for Economics and b) has the protentional to get a bit boring. You might find Politics, Sociology, Law, History etc more interesting and actually more relevant for Economics.

I'm pretty sure that you cannot take Further Maths without Maths. A-Level Further maths will assume that you have covered certain topics in A-Level maths already, and so it wouldn't be possible to take this without maths.

Most people who take further maths will do it as a fourth A-level. If you are wanting to go to a top university I would suggest doing that alongside the other three you chose. If it becomes too challenging, you always have the option to just drop the further maths anyway, so there isn't really a downside to doing this.

Which unis are you talking about? You only need further maths for LSE and Cambridge (unless its a maths + economics joint degree).
Your chances of an offer will be higher if you take further maths over accounting & you can't do further maths without maths, I would definitely advice taking further maths.

I'd advise you either to take further maths and do all 4, or drop accounting for further maths, as most top top unis require maths + fm (further maths), and many top unis dont regard accounting as a preferred a level subject
