Assume I get 80+ on TSA
Motivation for course: PPE - interested in economics and politics and philosophy interest because of interest in power (power to people in democracy, power of religion so on) + LOVE to study how connected everything is!

How realistic are my chances?
How competitive is my application?
What could I do to further enhance it?

Many thanks!

I think your application looks good, but you might actually struggle to fit everything in your personal statement.

I have some questions though:

Have you achieved those A Level grades or are they predicted?

Why aren't you applying to PPE everywhere if all the unis you're interested in offer that course?

Thanks for your comment!
(1) Those are my predicted A-Levels
(2) To be honest, I really like politics and economics a lot more than philosophy. Where possible, I think I'll do an undergrad with those 2 subjects. If that's not possible (such as in the case of Oxford), I'll go for ppe!
Hope that answers your questions - lmk if you have more : )

Okay makes sense. I'm going to be very picky right now because your application looks great to be fair but I think you should keep some things in mind.

It's not always the best idea to apply to a range of different courses as your personal statement can lack focus but because of how similar the courses are I think you'll be alright. But some unis you're not applying to PPE but politics and economics instead, may be confused to why you are mentioning philosophy and religion in your PS and you didn't apply to their PPE course.

I would usually advice people to apply to the course not the uni. If you really want to do politics and economics apply to that everywhere even if it means you can't apply to Warwick or Oxford. But it doesn't seem like you hate philosophy so I don't know if that would be much of an issue for you to do PPE but make sure you are sure.

Good luck.

Honestly this is a good application. If you're eye set on Oxford you HAVE TO smash the TSA and the Interview. They don't really care too much about anything else. Other unis, like UCL/LSE will like your super curriculars, as long as you show yourself as an interesting and inquisitive person.

regarding oxford gcses are kinda low but ok. 80+ on tsa would make up for it. if you came from a **** school that would significantly bring up your gcses though. supposing you got 80+, which is not trivial, the chances are pretty good u get an interview and from there its all unknown
