MPhil/DPhil Law and Socio Legal Research- 2025/26

I noticed there wasn’t a thread for this yet. Still early from what I gather, as offers and rejections started pouring in around March 15 last year.

Applied to MPhil in Socio-Legal Research!! Any ideas on when interviews are coming out? Would also love to hear people's background!

I applied to both too, looking at past years, I think we’ll get notification of interview this week, as they are usually scheduled for the last week of February!

In 2023, seems like interview invites were sent out Feb. 10, and in 2024, interview invites were sent out on Feb.13. That’s exactly three and three and a half weeks after the application deadline. Maybe because our deadline was the 29 (and not the 20 and 19 like in 2023 and 2024 respectively), the assumed date would be at least Feb. 19?

I was thinking this as well, either tomorrow or the 19th

Does anyone have examples of questions they may ask? I know it's usually related to your research or background knowledge, but I would love specific examples if anyone knows someone from the program in the past.

I received it on the 13th (applied for MPhil in Socio-Legal Research).

I don't know that it means anything. When I applied for Truman and Rhodes (in the US) I received surveys too - although those were post-selection or rejection.
