Heyy guys, I'm first year BSC - DT.
I just wanna reassure some people after reading 2024 thread, I got rejected from 4/5 unis without even an interview but on my last hurdle Newcastle offered an interview. I made sure NCL got to see the real me and when I felt overwhelmed I even said, sorry just one second took a breath, drank some water, collected my thoughts and continued my interview. I honestly felt elated afterwards because they know people are nervous, but it's how you cope and deal with it is important. I got a condtional offer (sounds not great but was only that I got the grades predicted) which I smashed out the park from my access course (14 D & 1 M), I feel during this time I was confident and believed I could do this and never doubted it. I really believe if you truely believe you'll do it you can. Try stand out and have some ideas of why you want it, what you might face moving to uni, how you will cope, and some things you witness as an issue in dentistry today. As they're things I was asked in my interview. Oh and!!! DO YOUR RESEARCH!! The uni's want to know you want it! I wish everyone the best and if it doesnt work out this time, maybe it wasnt your time this year but next year it might or you could fall in love with another career! xo
