Biomedical Engineering Applicant

Hi guys, I’m a year 12 who’s aiming to study Biomedical Engineering at imperial, and I’m wondering if I have a chance? My gcse grades are lowk mid so I’m worried, and I think I may need some more hands on experience.

GCSEs: 99988887 (7 was in rs)
A levels: Maths, Physics, Biology and English (don’t have predicteds yet)

current supercurriculars: stem smart (double maths n physics), reading scholars (maths), medtech lectures at imperial and ucl, I ran personal medtech project independently at school and participate in a maths extension program outside of school.

extracurriculars: part-time maths tutoring, I also won a linguistics essay competition

future supercurriculars: I’ve applied to K+, plan on going to Cambridge’s maths day and have applied to various summer schools. I’m also waiting to hear back from an eng firm for work experience.

What else can I do to improve my chances? Thanks

Go to Open Days at a range of different Universities over the next few months, listen to the relevant subject presentations, ask questions, and find out what they look for in application. Usually its simply a convincing explanation about why you want to study that subject at degree level, and your predicted grades.
