Hey!
My GCSEs were below average (87776544), and my predicted grades were A*AA.
I did one AS which was Sociology which I got an A in, and therefore predicted A*. The other predicteds were just from end of year exams my school did.

i’m sorry but i’m genuinely curious as to how this is considered below average ?? if anything its above !! i think people on here underestimate their GCSE scores

It’s considered below average because majority of the universities require at least 5 6s especially for medicine. Now take this to an account you need to perform at least 7 7s will then taken you slightly above average because 7 6s or 7 7s is above are good so if you can get all 6s from your GCSEs it’s way better for getting few a stars and just all 5s

Yeah, it is generally considered to be below average for people who get offers from top unis from top courses. Most students offered a place at Bristol for law have mostly 9s and 8s with the occasional 7.

I don’t agree with law for Bristol at uni to consider GCSEs beyond that much . 20% are gcse but the rest is a leave perfections and heavily use of the lnat exam. Bristol is known not too care too much about GCSEs even tho it’s a russel group. But most unis do and yes it is below average like Warwick!!

Yeh just horrible waiting 😩, I applied early November I was predicted A*AA and GCSEs mostly A*s and As, except maths which was C’s as I was awful at math 😂, my extra curricular were really good shadowing a barrister through multiple cases as well, not sure how I did in the LNAT yet who knows.

No I don’t think so, because if they have looked at your application surely they would have given you some response they probably just haven’t looked at it yet ☺️

Yeh so I applied to Uni of Cardiff, uni of Bristol, uni of Exeter, Kings collage of London and university of Warwick, got into Cardiff and Exeter ☺️, got rejected from kings 😩but now I look back I had no chance 70% of their students are international leaves me like a 1/20 chance, waiting on Bristol and Warwick. But probably would be between Exeter and Bristol ☺️what about you ? X
