English literature, law and politics a levels?

Hello

I've applied for sixth form and the subjects I've chosen are listed in the title, I was wondering if anyone happens to do any of the subjects listed could you tell me what's it like, more so with politics and law because I hear debates are prevalent in it which I'm really curious about so if anyone could give me insight to what this might entail I'd appreciate it, thanks

Ask the relevant teachers which optional topics are taught at your school for both History and Politics - do these actually interest you?

Hi I do law and English lit, law is pretty good I'd say. The grade boundaries are nice, the papers are good. Not too many topics either so I'd really recommend it. Eng lit however, the grade boundaries are very high its like 55 out of 60 for an A in OCR, it really depends on the exam board and what books u do. I really enjoy the books I do but to get a A/A* you really have to put a lot of work in. The two are really cohesive together I find.

Thanks, is there a lot of debate in law?

It really depends on your class tbh, if u do Aqa which most places do, there is a question about the weights of law, its more philosophical and questions what justice/morality is in terms of law, so that opens for debate. Some people in my class do politics so they debate more about stuff sometimes. The classes are more just learning what the law is and applying to situations

Cool stuff, it doesn't say what exam board I'd be doing on the website, but if that's the case then it sounds rly interesting,
