Debating dropping out

I’m a first year student doing Business and Management. I am on attendance review and am also an estranged student who has been majorly struggling with coping with this.

I am keeping up with my work and assignments at the moment and really trying my best however I don’t know how much longer i can cope. I definitely need to continue till april as I have no other way to pay off my last instalment for my accomodation.

The final student loan payment is in April, if i drop out in april this will of course mean i fail the year and have to repay the whole year back.

However, i’ve seen a few posts about over payments - if i drop out in april after i receive my last loan instalment, that means i miss a few core exams and reports that are due in may and cover the end grade.

I am curious what the case would be if i drop out before these exams take place ? would they retract the third loan or make me overpay as I haven’t finished the year ? Or in another case, i have seen people advise you don’t drop out until after summer.
if i don’t drop out until after ‘summer’ however i don’t attend the final exams do they have any right to make me pay anything upfront or will i just repay normally?

Thanks
If you want to keep your student loan payments for the entire year then you need to “complete” the year. That means attempting all exams and assessments.

If you leave before then or just don’t attend exams then you risk your university notifying SFE that you are withdrawn.

Have you spoken to anyone about why you’re struggling to attend your course? There may be additional support available to you.

I feel you, estranged pupil in similar situation. I guess we will both call SFE tomorrow to ask about this
