student finance CPR question

Hi,

Really need some help regarding student finance

started a course in Sep 2022, left in December 2022. Was on medication and have proof of that. Other circumstances also affected this time (however, not sure whether it would be counted as CPR?), have used up the ‘gift year’ of funding.

Then, in Sep 2023, started a new course. 1st year all fine. Got into 2nd year and have had to interrupt my studies. Have CPR to back up this.

Will I get funding back for the gift year, even with limited CPR evidence if I explained how it was affecting my studies even with the current CPR evidence for this year?

Hi Rebekah,

We fund all years of a course + 1 additional year and then minus any previous study.

For a new course, you can apply for CPR to claim back additional year(s) of your course. For the CPR, it is down to the assessors who review your evidence and determine your eligibility. All evidence is reviewed on a case by case basis. Thanks, Jason

Hi,

So I used my gift year up the first time.

I then completed first year and have interrupted second year. I have CPR for this interruption year.

How does this look for funding?

Hi, if you have the CPR evidence the assessors will review this and determine your eligibility for the extra year(s). Thanks, Jason
