Changing details on my UCAS application?

I sent off my medicine application back in October, but was informed recently that I'm considered a young carer - is there a way to change my ucas application to include this, or, if so, is there even a point in doing so? I don't want it to affect my chances of getting in, and I don't know if unis are hesitant to accept young carers - any info helps!

Who 'told' you were a young carer - and wouldn't this be something you already knew?

My head of sixth form told me that I was one and should have put it on my UCAS after concern was raised because of how often I'd have to leave school early or miss school entirely to take care of my brother. I also told my GP about my situation and looked at the gov website and both seemed to confirm it. English isn't my first language and I didn't know how to put the situation into simple terms, so sorry for offending you.

Your school (not you) should email each Uni asap and explain your family circumstances and confirm that you are a young carer - this is important as it may qualify you for a Contextual offer.
