I take A-level geography so I can answer any questions you have on that. I don't take history or psych though unfortunately.

I would say that if you enjoy geography at GCSE, then you'll most likely enjoy it at A-level too. For some topics like hazards and coasts, you do all of the same stuff you do at GCSE like tropical storms, earthquakes, coastal landforms, etc in more detail and maybe with different case studies. But you'll also learn new stuff such as wildfires, the hazard models, and sediment cells. However, you also have topics which are entirely new, such as place, where you learn about different types of place (far, near, experienced and media) and how the characteristics of a place change based on factors from inside and outside the area. I personally found place a decent topic, but the exam questions can get a little bit tricky as the topic itself is quite subjective.

If you have any more questions I can help.

I studied A Level History and really enjoyed it! You get to do 3 papers (topics chosen by your college from a list) plus coursework. I did Britain, Unification of Italy and Witch Craze (and chose to do my coursework on the origins of the Wars of the Roses) and thoroughly enjoyed it (although these are really uncommon options). It is a lot more challenging than GCSE as you have to be more analytical and learn about the context behind events but because of this it is greatly valued by employers and universities. Feel free to get in contact with anymore questions!
