Cambridge MPhil Linguistics 2025 Applicants

I applied on the first of October and had my interview on January 27th. Since then it’s been under review by department. I’ve been waiting for so long 😭 anyone heard anything?

I got my acceptance on 25 Feb after emailing the department a month prior

I sent an email to the mmll department postgrad secretary but they only told me that my query was passed to the relevant persons and that’s it.. I feel so anxious

Sorry just to add on. I applied for MPhil by Advanced Study. Usually this course doesnt have interviews. Did u apply for MPhil by Research Preparation?

Maybe only international applicants? I had one on January 27th and it’s been under review since then. This waiting has me pulling my hair out

Starting this thread for other MPhil Linguistics applicants!!
Submitted: 16th October (Gates early round)
Gates rejection: 11th December
Decision Pending: 30th January
I emailed the department when I didn't get my decision but they suck at replying and were super vague... sooooo anxious rn with this whole DP thing

submitted at Dec 3rd—interviewed at 1/24—dp at 2/18—offer 3/10. Yes shortlisted applicants of MPhil by Research will surely be interviewed (quoted from official website of this programme, you could check it out :smile:

I've come to known roughly 10 applicants of Advanced Study track who received their offers. The first round is at 2/27 and the second 3/14 I think

I did notice they extended the deadline for application till Apr. Not too sure if this is unique to this year or also happened in previous years. Hopefully it means they still have places available.
