Would these A-Levels allow me to study some sort of Business degree at university?

I am interested in doing International Business, Business Studies, Business with Management or Makreting.
Currently my subjects will be: Business Studies, Spanish, PE and SSD or Physics.

Any advide would help!

Your A-level subject combination is very suitable for pursuing a business-related degree! because:

Business Studies is relevant and will give you a strong foundation for any business degree

Spanish is excellent for International Business, as language skills are highly valued in global business

Both PE and Physics can demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills that universities appreciate

However, you might want to consider:

Some universities may prefer or require Mathematics for certain business programs, especially for more quantitative courses

Check specific entry requirements for your target universities as they can vary significantly.

These are amazing fields to pursue. your subject selection can get you into these degrees in a lot of universities but if you're fixed on certain Universities, checking their subject specific requirements and adjusting appropriately would be a good shout.

Some Unis do not like PE as an A level - its not seen a demanding enough subject for an academic degree - but if that is the area that you are interested in, there are specialised relevant degrees :
Sport Management BSc | Undergraduate study | Loughborough University
BSc (Hons) Business Management with Sport | University of Salford
BSc (Honours) Sport Business Management Full-time 2025 | Sheffield Hallam University
Etc.

Hey @bsk_8006,

They're great subject areas for Business! You've got Business Studies which will give you a great foundation to build from when you get into your degree, and a language is always a fab idea. If you were looking at doing International Business I'd suggest looking for a University that will let you do an international placement (usually where you take a year out between second and third year to work), as that way you might be able to make the most of your Spanish skills!

From our perspective as a University, we don't set specific subject requirements for our business courses, meaning you can do the degree with any combination of A Level subject areas. You might find that's quite common across quite a number of universities, but its worth checking out a few different places to get an idea to see how common that is!

Good luck with your A Level choices - my best advice is to look into what you definitely need to study for the degrees you're interested in, then have the rest of your subject choices be things you enjoy and are good at - it'll make studying them so much easier if you like them!

All the best,
Becky
