Bad grades first term 2nd year llb

Hello, I just received my results for my 2nd year llb law and got 48, 55, 58 and 68 which are worth 50% of my 2nd year. Was wondering how i would have to do for the rest of my second year exams as well as in my third year to get atleast a decent 2:1(65). Feeling pretty down about it so any advice on how to improve would seriously help. the weightings for 2nd and 3rd year is 1:2. How doable is this?

Hello,
I cannot advise on the specifics of how you can get an overall 2:1 and the likelihood of this, but I will tell you not to feel down about this as it is not uncommon. Law is difficult and you will not be the only person who has not got the grades you anticipated. It does not help with the personalities of law students and the competitive nature because you only see the best sides of other law students, but having said that you should not compare yourself to others. This is your journey and success means different things to different people.

To help you improve in the future, as well as revising the content you should visit your individual markers during their office hours to get more in-depth feedback which will help you improve. You could also consider visiting your personal tutor in addition to allow you to get some more general feedback.

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions please do let me know!
