can university wave placements adult nurse advise?

Can my university wave my 1st placement as they have made the errors that have lead me not to attend my 1st placement due to OH health issues? or do i have to work the hours waved in between my lectures and from march to may to do this? also have placement 2 may end til july? This will affect my exam revison as i have to catch up hours due to thier errors ? any advise welcome.
@Tracey_W and @Emily_B probably better placed to advise, but my understanding is the total number of hours of placements are a requirement to complete the course and register with the NMC upon graduation, and therefore any missed hours need to be made up at some point before completing the course.

Agree with what you said regarding making up the missing hours at some point over the duration of being a student nurse to satisfy NMC regulations for completed hours for both placements and the university study work before they are able to graduate

The OP needs to talk to both his university course leader and also placement officer regarding the issues with not doing this current placement.
They will discuss with OP about this and they will hopefully arrange something with OP about where they are to go for there placement missing hours until catch up.

There's no point moaning about it here about the situation with his placement because he has to actually go and talk about it with his university and get it resolved so that he knows what is happening with his coursework. I think if I remember correctly he already posted a few threads on the same issue and was told what to do.

University can withhold your placement if they are not satisfied with your current health issues until they get the clearance from occupational health provider. They will discuss it with you and support anything you need in help or support/ adjustments etc.

You have to complete the full 2300 hours as a student nurse in order to qualify. Consequently:

If you miss hours, regardless of the reason, these hours need to be made up.

There is no such thing as waiving hours.

There is no such thing as completing hours outside of allocated practice time. You will not be able to make up practice time between March and May if it is theory rather than practice which is scheduled.

Universities do factor in time for students to make up hours (regardess of whose "fault" it is that the student missed practice); quite when you get given this time is a different matter and is up to the university.

The OH Doctor has in effect cleared myself for placement its his wording in the initial document that has caused the issue my specialist states fit for work & local gp also. Its about accountability here who is to blame for wasting all this time for no reason when a simple phone call from the trust and university to the OH doctor could have sufficed?on the other hand why didnt the OH doctor word the document correctly ethier way i am delayed due to incompetence one of the above part both playing the blame game in case something did occur? I have now to wait for a meeting to discuss matters between trust university and OH which in effect takes longer to arrange complete in turn leaves me chasing time that i havent got to fit in 225 hours of extra placements this year so its not ideal by far as others will have more time for exams i will be doing placements and exam revision as completed 1st placement inbetween placement 1 & 2 also i am a mature learner at 49 course leader left in january its fact that on one has spoke to the OH doctor since paused my placement is beyond poor to discuss it he said if needed clarifcation on medical things
