Do past papers, and keep testing yourself. Don't spend much time making revision resources, there are plenty available already, instead practice answering papers.
Stay consistent, make a weekly timetable, and aim to do around 3 subjects a day, 25 - 30 mins for each.
With consistent practice you can achieve your desired grades.

I got a 9 in Edexcel history and did the exact same topics as you.

I basically wrote essays for every topic, memorised them, and recalled them in the exam. This meant I could write more in the time because rather than planning in the exam, I did all the planning, facts and analysis done beforehand.

For more detail:

For Elizabeth I did a 12 marker/loads of paragraphs for every topic. If a topic came up for a 4 marker, I’d simplify 2 of my 12 marker points. If it came up as a 16 marker I’d tweak the 12 marker to fit the question, basically making it into a 16 marker.

This basically applies for Medicine as well, accept the Western front because you cannot prepare for the sources. In this case…FLASHCARDS, BLURTING ETC- you need to know the content off my heart to make the best links to the sources as possible.

The same can be said for Germany. Pre-plan essays for the 12 markers, but other than that use flashcards and blurting to memorise the content for sources/interpretations. Also, make sure you spend a little bit of time practicing source/interpretation analysis if this is something you struggle with. But, I never felt the need to do this personally outside of exam practice.

Then, for Cold War I had a Google doc where I basically wrote a long narrative detailing all the consequences of each event/how each event led to the next from Tehran all the way to the collapse of the Soviet Union. That way for each topic I’d be able to answer questions and both consequences and narrative since I knew how each event linked to the next.

Also, final random point. When I’d memorise my answers, because I was a GCSE drama student, I would memorise my answers by saying them out loud and performing them like a script. And, in exams I’d usually be mumbling them under my breath. Sometimes I’d also write them out over and over again (but this could be tedious at times)

Whilst you don’t have to do this, think about ways your brain takes in information. That will help make memorising easier and unique to you.

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much xx
would it be too much to ask if u sent a photo or two as an example or even a photo of the google docs just so I get an idea????? thank youu

I'm really confused though how do u know what questions to make if they haven't come up previously in a past paper?? As in how did you make the essays and how did you create your own 12 marker questions? Again is it too much to ask if u send the questions u made so then I can just write the essays from there??? Sorry if it's too much to ask btw xx

So for example the sciences. chem/bio/physics because they keep repeating the questions but tweak it a bit should I just do the past papers for them and memorise the mark schemes or is it too much of a risk??

i do combined and wanna do science for levels ( i love bio and chem )

memorise content make sure you understand everything ( videos etc freesceince lessons )0

test yourself on the content on quizlet , cognito , seneca

then do past papers question by questions marking them as you go

pick up on weak topics and solidify them before next papers

repeat this and practice 4/5/6 markers and you should be good!

Once you have answered a paper, then marking it shows you what still needs work. Make a list of the topics of the questions you got wrong, and then revise those subjects with your preferred method; watch videos, test yourself with quickfire knowledge questions, etc, then go back and try to answer exam questions on that topic again.
I wouldn't memorise the mark scheme, as every paper is different every year.

FOR MATHEMATICS:

Do past Papers. Maths is diffferent from most subjects in teh sense that for each paper any topic can come out. The best way to get better in maths is to practice TONS of past papers. To get comfortable and familiarize yourself with the way maths questions are. Mark it yourself or better yet ask a teacher to mark it for you. They can give you feedback and topics you need to practice. Maths is really easy if you practice often.

FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE:

What i love about english language is that it has a particular structure. They always ask th esame kind of questions. For example, question 5 is ALWAYS an essay, question 2 is always language, and blah blah. So all you really need to do is do PAST PAPERS!! Give to a teacher. They will mark and explain. The best YouTube channels to use are Mr Bruff, Mr Salles, Glow up your grades is also really good and The Lightup Hub. There are other good ones. Please i cannot empahsize this enough. DO NOT USE MR EVERYTHING ENGLISH!! He is best for those using the edexcel exam board AND he often gives wrong advice and misleads students.

FOR SPANISH:

French and Spanish are pretty similar. And personally, i think Spanish is wayyy easier than French. Use Duolingo. I know people say it's not useful but trust me it is. It's not the most popular language learning app for no reason. Another great app is Language Transfer. It's fairly new but alreafy really popular. It's honestly really useful. Listen to podcasts in Spanish, watch shows with Spanish subtitles, Spanish shows with english subtitles, Spanish shows with no subtitles, There are multiple YouTube channels that helps in Spanish GCSE. Also don't just passively learn it. Immerse yourself completely in the language! Watch Spanish shows, Write diaries, notes or journals in Spanish, have conversations with yourself in Spanish. Even go as far as learning cultures of Spain, eat their food, learn the dances. It is funa dn very useful.

I really hope ths helps. Goodluck in your GCSE's. We've got this!!!!!

yes we do Elizabeth and Weimar! if you got a 9 in your mock I imagine youre probably fine with the questions so ig it's mostly content retaining. I like to do mindmaps and timelines where I note all the key events. it doesn't have to look pretty - I don't usually look back at them but it's more about just pooling ideas and then adding what you've missed. good luck!!

thank you for medicine I'm currently doing that and have nearly finished the 2nd topic out of 4. I created the mindmaps from information of revision guide online (is that okay??) and once I've finished I'm planning to practice exam structure and plan 12 markers based on my knowledge. For Elizabeth though since it's a shorter topic I might do flashcards instead and try to mix up the revision techniques with each paper. Thank youuu
