A level choices

I am nearing the end of year 11 and I am at the time where I need to finalise my decisions on what A levels i should pick. I am definitely set on doing maths but the others I am not so sure. I enjoy chemistry and biology and stuff like sport science. But I think a subject like economics might be very useful and interseting. I know I am definitely taking maths and a science, i cannot decide between chemistry, biology,pe,economics. Please could I get some advice with reasons. Thanks

What are you thinking of taking at uni/what sort of career do you want to go into?

i like the idea of doing something related to sports but in the science catagory that makes a decent amount, but other than that i cant really think of what i want to do when I am older.

Maths, chemistry and biology might keep your doors open the most. You can do economics at uni without econ A level, you can do sports science with chemistry and biology A level, etc. Bio, chem and maths will keep a lot of paths open for you.

But the most important thing is to pick subjects you enjoy the most. What subjects would be excited to study for 2 years?

I’d say a good combination would be maths, biology and pe. If you want to go into a sports related career then pe and biology would obviously be very helpful, and would also allow you to meet the subject requirements for sports science at most unis- maths can also help with getting into better unis and might aid with getting higher paying jobs

Sort of? Biology links to sports science better than chemistry does, but chemistry would still likely get you into the course you want to do at uni. Maths and chemistry will be a lot of work though!
