@UEA Rep Grace @Hull Rep Ed can you give your thoughts on your uni and city please?

In terms of the course, compare modules and any optional modules, ask for copies of current timetables for both unis, compare placement locations and ease of travel to the placements. Look at accommodation options and costs, and think about the clubs/societies you might wish to join.

Hi @46.hcy_ congratulations on your offers - that's great news! If possible I'd encourage you to head along to any applicant or open days coming up for both universities (even if you've been before), as being there in person and speaking to current students and academics can really help you get a sense of where you feel most comfortable. If the course ticks your boxes and you feel at home then that's where you need to be! You get out what you put in with degree studies, so you can have a wonderful journey into your chosen field wherever you decide is best for you to study.

Of course, I love Hull, the university and the city (there are some truly great spots!), and you can get an idea of what we're all about on our Choose Hull and MSc Nutrition and Dietetics pages. However, if you're torn between the two I'd definitely try to visit them both again if possible - I hope that helps 🙂

Hi! @46.hcy_
Firstly, congrats on the offers, you should be proud!! 🙂
I'm currently a second year studying natural sciences at UEA and I'd be more than happy to share what life is like here!

As UEA is a campus based university, everything you need is on campus. For example, there is a shop, multiple catering outlets, a hairdresser, laundrette etc...
Our campus is quite large and there is lots of greenery which is complemented by the UEA broad, which makes for a great walk during any free time between lectures. I'd highly recommend attending a barbeque event in the summer with friends!
We also have a SportsPark with amazing facilities, including an Olympian sized swimming pool. There are also many sports club and niche societies to join.

Norwich city centre is only a short bus ride away (about 15 minutes) and buses come and go every 7 minutes. Norwich is quite a small city but it has the perfect balance of events without being too overwhelming. There are many independent shops, cafes etc... most of which are student budget friendly.
As well as this, there are many picturesque places around Norwich that make for a great day trip out either solo or with friends, ranging from beaches to broads and much more. All of which easily accessible via public transport.

I hope this helps you to make a choice about your future university! 🙂
Let me know if you have any questions 🙂
Fatma.
