Enrolment with expired EU passport

Hello,

I'm an immigrant who's been living in the UK for the past 8 years or so. I have an EU passport that is currently expired and I'm working on getting it renewed ASAP. I do, however, have a national identity card, but I'm confused since my chosen University who has given me an unconditional offer is asking for picture proof of my passport. It doesn't say anything about it being expired, or valid, just simply asking for picture proof.

Should I be worried about the validity of my passport? I've been worrying about not being accepted due to my passport being expired.

Doesn’t matter if it’s expired, I do believe. It’s still proof of your identity

They want evidence of your right to be in the UK, so they want a copy of your EU passport - and your Settlement code.
It doesnt matter that your passport is out of date, but you should get this renewed asap, its your legal identity, and your right to be living in the UK that they want to see.
