Greenhead college offer

I have an interview with Greenhead college in a couple of weeks and was wondering what happens if they give you a conditional offer but you don’t reach all your predicted grades. I’m getting all sixes and above however have been predicted an 8 for chemistry and maths and I’m not sure whether I’ll be able to meet that. If I don’t get an 8 on results day will I be rejected?

Hey, I’m a current year 13 student at Greenhead. The simple answer is no you won’t be rejected. You don’t have to get your actual predicted grades, you only need to get the required 3 sixes along with a 4 in English and Maths (if you get a 6 in either of these they count towards your 3 sixes) and any subject specific entry requirements.

Thank you! I had my interview a couple of days ago and received an offer which cleared things up!

Question: i got 3 8s 4 7s and the rest 6s, but I didn't receive a conditional offer. Do you know why. I know someone who picked the same A-levels as me and got in with similar grades, my language was slightly worse. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

That’s unusual. Do you know if your school is a partner/feeder school into Greenhead? I think they give priority to schools who are “partner” schools over “non-partner” schools. My school wasn’t a feeder school into Greenhead so I knew a few people who didn’t get offers regardless of having the grades. That’s the only logical reason I can think of. I’m sorry if this isn’t much help.

i go to a school that is not a feeder school. it is a grammar school and it's highly regarded. thanks for the suggestion. so far all i understand is maybe it's location. i'm about a 20/30 minute bus ride away
