Hey Anon! If you don't get any replies here you might find some applicants/offer holders in the offical applicants thread - it's pinned at the top of our forum 🙂

Have you applied for the course this year? Let me know if I can help with anything!

Hello! The Admissions teams will be making decisions on applications over the coming months 🙂 We technically have until mid-May to make decisions on applicants, however generally we work towards having the majority of decisions made by the end of March. They'll be looking at applications on an ongoing basis so there's no concrete answer as to when they reply to applications - but until you hear back you're still being considered for a place.

Good luck!

Do they still make decisions during like holidays?

Hi 🙂 This can vary - admissions sits within each department so if there are colleagues who've taken some time off then there might not be as many offers issued. The University doesn't close over half term breaks etc so technically offers can still be made during this time, but just depends on whether staff are taking some time off too.

Hello 🙂 If you want to start in year 1 of the degree then that's ok that you applied with that as your entry point! If you want to start in year 2 you'd contact the admissions team to ask for that to be changed, but if you're happy with year 1 then that's ok.

The only degree we start from Year 2 as the norm is the MPharm Pharmacy.

Would i get an unconditional or conditional offer for computer science? The entry requirements are AAAB but i have AAABC and i am doing advanced maths and biology and crashing higher chemistry?

Hello! If you exceed the entry requirements and we are making an offer then it would likely be an unconditional offer 🙂 I can't guarantee an offer would definitely be made however, as competition can be high. Meeting the entry requirements alone doesn't always mean an offer will be made as selectors will consider your whole application, including personal statement and ongoing qualifications. If you'd like to contact the department directly the admissions team email is: [email protected].
