Assignment showing as 'not marked'

I submitted an assignment in January and should have recieved my mark yesterday. Other students on the module have recieved theirs however mine is showing as 'not marked' when look on my universities portal. I've emailed my lecturer but haven't heard anything. Has anyone experienced this before or may know what it means?

You’ve done the right thing querying it, if after a week days the academic hasn’t responded (give them a week as they do have to balance their work) try contacting your course director or tutor who can ask on your behalf.

Hi there,

First, I would check if it is still within the time that the staff have to mark work - for example at LJMU there is a policy where work must be marked and grades sent out within 15 working days of the submission deadline (so 3 weeks roughly). If it is withing that timeframe, then it may just be that they are releasing grades as they are marking the assignment.

If not, and if your lecturer still has not responded, then I would get in contact with your programme leader who can help! The last resort would possibly to go to your SU, as they can help you will filing complaints and help represent you as a student.

Hope this helps!

Hi!

This could be the result of various issues, it could be a problem with your assignment itself, the marking process, or an issue with the technology. You have done the right thing reaching out to your lecturer and the best thing you can do is see what they say.

Hope this helps! Faye 🙂
