AQA gcse geography help pls!!

hi guys im nandini,

im aiming for all 9s at GCSES, and my mocks were a bit far from that
- and to the main point i got a 5 in geography.

i'm not bad at geography, i get full marks on all exams questions in class (marked by my teacher), and dont do too bad on class tests however the mock went quite badly...

i messed up A LOT on fieldwork, which we barely cover, and i didnt do well on physical landscapes

what do you guys use for geography pls help!! ik its a bit far fetched but i think i am capable to get a 9!

if you're getting full marks in class it's not far fetched at all! timings for geog are rlly tough and the longer the exam the easier it is to forget that and rlly run out of time at the end, so it makes total sense what happened in your mock. i'd recommend doing some more practices/full papers (i used physics and math tutor to get mine) and being rlly aware of your timings (1 minute per mark!!) so u can get used to that. with the fieldwork section, most of it is just application of graph skills/understanding of general concepts so the only thing u can rlly do is practice (p.s. bc fieldwork is just random graphs for the most part, u can use any aqa gcse practice papers, even if they aren't from ur exact spec bc it doesn't actually matter what the graph is abt, just how u interpet it)

the other part of fieldwork is the fieldwork that u shld have done w school, and for that i'd just recommend planning some of the long answer questions bc there's only so many things they cld ask.

for the pre-release, again, the final big question can usually only be one or two things (eg. do u think this was successful, what were the biggest impacts etc.)

physical geography is a lot harder to make up if u can't remember certain things, so make sure you're rlly solid w ur knowledge, key terms and try to get a few stats u can use in longer mark questions if u can

sry this is so long but hope this helps! good luck on ur actual exams!! youve got this
