hi there, i have an interview coming up with sheffield. I was wondering what types of questions they ask you during the interview. If they focus on your personal statement, what do they pick up from it?

good luck!! mainly nhs values and knowledge on orthoptics itself!

yes i get that, anything more specifically. The answers i recieved from others have been pretty vague.

make sure you know the nhs values and the 6 c’s and the difference between optometry, orthoptics, maybe ophthalmology and maybe an optician.

Hi there following this thread as i have an interview tomorrow, like that person said do you mind giving an in depth explanation of your experience on the interview as it is online and differernt to real life. are they scary, were you nervous, how was the questions like, did they ask you about professionalsim and teamwork etc x

sorry, ive been msged by the uni about giving in depth details about my interview and the questions. but my interviewers were extremely nice, kind and friendly. it was super casual and the questions are a lot about yourself and why you wanna do the course. they wanna see passion for the course, that you know what orthoptics, that you know the differences (just because some people think theyre going into orthoptics and its actually optometry or vice versa) and maybe some knowledge on the uni itself would be good! good luck!!
