University Scholarships & Fee Waivers – Some universities offer international fee waivers or top-up funding to students who secure external scholarships like LISS DTP. Check with QMUL’s funding office to see if they provide any additional support.

Departmental or Supervisor Support – Some PhD supervisors or departments have discretionary funds that could contribute toward the fee difference. It’s worth discussing this with your potential supervisor.

External Grants & Charities – Look into trusts, foundations, and research councils that provide international PhD funding, such as the Commonwealth Scholarships, Chevening, or Wellcome Trust (depending on your field).
