Stressed

Hey so i have my gcse' mocks in like two weeks time and im really panicking. Im getting 5/6 in my subjects but in stem subjects im barley getting a pass.these are the subjects that i do and the grades i got in my last mocks ( they were ages ago )and the ones i want

English language -6 ( i am happy with this as i thought my exam was really bad, we only did paper 1 though)
English literature -5 ( i usally get 6' so very upset by this, in my last essay i was one of an 8) i want to do this for A level as i really love it. I would like a 9 ngl
Maths -3 (couple marks off a pass ) im predicted a 5 and i needd the 5 if i want to do my pyschology a level course
Biology-5( i didnt reallg study as much as i wanted ) i want do this for a level and would like a 7
Chemistry ( last last mocks j got a U but in my last one i got a 4 so improvement?, im neing realistic i would like a 5/6)
Physics ( i hate this subject.my teacher has finally put me on foundation so i do think i can get a 5 as the questions are profoundly basic )
Geography- 6 very angry cus i was 1 mark off the next grade in each paper apperantly, i love geography and i want to do it for A- level as well

I want my grades to be higher ofc but i am a major procrastinator, and when i do start to revise i feel like i am revising my subjects unevenly and it makes me more stressed and anxious pls help !

Try making a checklist of all the things you need to work on within your subjects in a random order to prevent yourself feeling stressed

Ik it might be stressing for math I recommend using physics and math tutor it’s a very good website for biology, chemistry and physics and even geography and also English literature for math I recommend using math genie and Corbettmaths they’re very good website websites because they learn from the basics and I had the same grade as you when I was doing my GCSES and and I finally pass it and if you need more help, I can tell you more resources

Hey yea people reccomend it to me all the time and i bet it is amazing, but the problem is that my dad is really strict and im not allowed to go onto internet/websites and it makes revision so much harder

OK so I recommend you to use textbooks and revision guide that teaches in details like GCP and also try to use flashcards and try to download apps from your App Store or play store like Quizlet and some apps I think doesn’t require Internet and you can still study and revise from it and it will help you a lot and I will encourage you if you have study groups in your school to study together and also motivate each other and the best thing is to write a post and to see a study buddy who is doing the same GCSE as you and you can study together

Try to get at least a 5 or above in GCSE Maths, because most colleges want at least want a 5 in GCSE Maths, if you want to study A Level Psychology.

i would say to use cognito for some science revision but thats online so i would defo just say revision guides and whichever question book goes w it. i try to do a page of my maths revision guide every week, i make notes off the page in the revision guide and then i do all the questions that are from the same topic from the question book. i completely understand where your coming from tho as i also have my mocks on week starting 24/2 and im stressed as hell too. ive been trying to do some past papers (a chem one and a maths one pretty much get set every week as hwk) and ive been trying to do some spanish, physics and biology ones. so would probs say these two are potentially the best paper based revision techniques????
also, just a few questions
do you know what specific topics it is that you struggle with or is it just the subjects as a whole? if you know your weaknesses you could maybe do what i suggested with the revision guides but do specific pages instead of working through the whole thing? or you could make yourself like a checklist for what you need to revise and then convert that into a revision timetable?
what exam boards do you do per subject?
what are you thinking of doing at college/ alevel? just coz i personally would choose to put more work into whatever im going to pick there.
what are your other option subjects? you could always try to find someone else who has picked the same options and ask them to be your study buddy? not too sure how a study buddy works personally as ive never had one lol but in sure you could find someone who does.
does your school have computers that you could use if you were to get to sch say half and hour earlier or stay behind and use so you can do revision? ik u said your dad was strict but surely if you were to tell him youre really worried about your grades he would let u get home slightly later or set off earlier?
what exactly is it that your sruggling with for english? memorising quotes, themes, plot, characters etcect. or is it more like the writing, getting your ideas down or the annotating unknown texts (i personally strggle w that one)

sorry for such a long reply and you dont rly have to answer all at questions that i asked, it was more just like something for you to think about, you can reply if you want but im not gonna force u lol
