BA Filmmaking Napier 2025

Hi, Just wondering if anyone had received correspondence from Napier having submitted the portfolio requirements earlier in January? They've started to send out prospective student emails to me and I keep thinking its an offer of interview, but no.....

Today I received an email saying I got into Film for Edinburgh Napier. Very pleased! As well as, I did not need to attend an interview as they said my work was above the standard. I am happy to give you any tips or reassurance. They will take a while. Maybe email them just like "Hi, I have not heard from you regarding my application, is everything okay"and end the email with your name and BA Film Applicant but only send it once!

when was your submission deadline?

Update - I was given an unconditional and absolutely delighted about that. I seem to recall that the submission deadline was around 11th January or something like that.......

congratulations!!!! my submission deadline was 21st of jan, my friends who had the deadline of 14th of jan have already gotten their responses on the 14th of feb so i was hoping they were doing it a month on from submission date but i fear not

Is it difficult to get on this course? I am nervous as I am unsure of the technical skill I am required to get an offer.

You must be passionate about film and have a strong portfolio and essay. You must showcase your skills and instead of stating your passion, prove it like a court case. Make yourself “not guilty” in a sense and you will get it. I will say the more experience you have, the more they will like you. Hope that helps and good luck. God bless
