Please help🙏

I’m an international student and have offers from both uni of Birmingham and uni of Liverpool for law with business. I’m leaning towards Birmingham but I’m scared I might regret it if I don’t consider all my options. If anyone has any advice please help!! :smile:

Hi there!

Fantastic to hear you've got offers from two very good unis, congratulations for this!

My advice would be to ask yourself the following questions:

Which course interests me the most and has modules I think I'll enjoy more? Which modules would you choose if you went to each uni, which inspire you? Do any of them align with any career ideas you have in mind?

Where do I feel most at home? Which campus/city do I feel most comfortable in? Have you visited the campuses or checked out Liverpool and Birmingham's virtual tours?

What are the placement opportunities like? Do either of your courses offer this?

•

What else is there to do at the unis? If you check out the unis' websites there will be a section on societies and part time work opportunities - do they offer the types of things you might be interested in?

Both Liverpool are Birmingham are similar in the sense that they are next to quite large, vibrant cities; however the courses will differ subtly as well as the 'feel' of the campuses. Perhaps have a chat with your loved ones and make a pros and cons list for each uni and see if one comes out as a winner.
