The university has a great support system, offering help for issues with mental and physical health, money, disabilities, safety, academic support, etc. The Student Hub is contactable 24/7 by phone, email, online chat and in person. There are writing and maths drop ins run regularly in Hartley library for extra support.

There are lots of opportunities on campus for part-time work, including jobs at the campus shops and different student ambassador roles. These all pay really well.

I study psychology, and all of my lecturers are so friendly and helpful. If we ever need help, they are always willing to answer questions over email, during/after lectures and during their office hours.

The accommodation is close to campus and the city centre, with buses running very regularly all around Southampton.

There are lots of things to do around Southampton, including shopping at West Quay, student bars and clubs in Portswood and the city centre, events on campus, and the ferry terminal and train stations nearby if you would like to visit another city/ the Isle of Wight.

As for Accounting and Finance, the course has lots of accreditation, an industrial placement and the option for a year abroad. The uni gives lots of support to students wanting to find a placement or plan a year abroad, and these can offer lots of important practical skills to help enhance your CV.

I would definitely encourage you to visit us for an open day as the campus was a major selling point for me when deciding to study at Southampton.
